Palais de Chine Hotel
(君品酒店)
During 6 days of our holiday in Taiwan, my family and I stayed in Palais de Chine hotel (above). The name of this hotel is pronounced as Palay the Chin. It has good food but bad service. :(
Taipei 101(101 storey)
When you look at the building in the middle, if you think that it is as tall as the buildings on the left and right, then you are wrong. The building in the middle is Taipei 101 (101 storeys). If you look at the three buildings closely, you will find out that the buildings on the left and right are only about one quarter tall compared to Taipei 101!
Weird Christmas Tree
(In Taipei 101)
If my family members didn't tell me this was a Christmas tree, I wouldn't have known.
Thermal Valley, Beitou
(Part of Taipei)
See the white 'stuff ' rising above the water? It is steam. The water is over 90 degrees celsius! It is not only steaming hot but smelly as well. It is because there is a type of sulphur in the water. This particular sulphur can only be found in two places in the world. One of them is the Thermal Valley.
Aquabella Hotel, Xinbeitou
During 3 days of our holiday in Taiwan, we stayed in Aquabella Hotel in Xinbeitou. Although it is quite small, the inside of the hotel is quite nice. The bathtub in the room has some green stuff to pour into the bathtub while we soak in the hot spring water.
Ximending Night Market
This place is very crowded at night. You can buy cheap clothes and food here if you know how to bargain for them.
Danshui
Danshui is not really a night market. It is just a street with rows and rows of shops. You can call it a half-night market, if you want. There are many ways of spelling Danshui.(Danshui, Dansui, Tamsui, Tamshui, etc.)
Danshui Fisherman's Wharf
In case you don't know, Danshui is very big. You can get to this part of Danshui by boat. Danshui Fisherman's Wharf also has a hotel but we didn't stay there.
